Ecco a voi l'intervista ad Alessio Allegrini a cui gentilmente ha risposto: buona lettura!

A che età hai iniziato? E come è nata la passione per il corno?

A 7 anni la musica e a 12 il corno con il Maestro Giovanni Saccani.

Mio padre mi ha regalato un Lp di Bujanovsky  dei concerti di Mozart.

Provieni da una famiglia di musicisti?

No, mio padre suonava il sax in banda ma ho iniziato insieme ai miei fratelli, sopratutto perché’ ero troppo magro e piccolo per andare a scuola calcio e quindi non mi hanno accettato.

Quali sono stati i cornisti che hanno influenzato la tua carriera cornistica sia da studente che da professionista?

Dennis Brain e suo padre.

Il metodo di studio che consiglieresti ad un giovane cornista?

Prendi il corno e fai uscire ogni suono possibile. 

Cerca il colore del suono prima di tutto, poi il resto è solo tecnica. Il colore del suono fa capire lo spessore dei sentimenti che hai nel tuo cuore.

Quanto è importante il warm-up e la tecnica giornaliera? 

Studia 10 ore al giorno finché sei in tempo! Con la famiglia questo non ti sara’ concesso.

Studia spesso all'aperto, in montagna o davanti al mare infinito o a mezzanotte sotto la neve. 

Sei un’artista, hai bisogno di ispirazione anche quando studi la tecnica.

Cerca di comprendere il concetto di infinito attraverso la tangibilità’ del suono, ma sopratutto non fuggire dai tuoi lati deboli. Tutti noi abbiamo delle qualità’ specifiche e spesso ci affidiamo a ciò che ci viene bene, dimenticando le cose che ci restano difficili. Se hai buone note acute studia specialmente il basso...se sai solo suonare forte smetti di disturbare i vicini o i colleghi! Studia specialmente il piano.

Cosa consiglieresti per migliorare la respirazione? 

Prendi aria dalla pancia e non dalla bocca, non alzare le spalle e ricordati che i polmoni stanno dietro perché’ nel petto noi abbiamo il cuore.

Utilizzi accessori per migliorare la respirazione?

I polmoni!

Quanto è importante avere un'ottima imboccatura?

Più’ importante è saper modulare i suoni con il diaframma.

Qual'è il segreto per mantenere la qualità e la forma fisica giusta nel tempo?

non lo chiedere a me...

Che consigli daresti per preparare bene un'audizione?

Fai quello che è scritto sulla parte. Studia il ritmo, l’intonazione e i giusti colori. Ascolta registrazioni storiche di buon livello e copia da li i tempi se non conosci o non hai mai suonato i passi richiesti. Informati prima dell'audizione e non durante o dopo poiché è troppo tardi!

Quale modello di strumento suoni e quale bocchino?

Suono un Paxman m20 e uno Shilke 31.

Ho suonato tutta la mia carriera con un solo strumento e un solo bocchino. Diciamo che questo è il secondo strumento che ho adesso poiché il primo l’ho donato a qualcuno che ne aveva più bisogno di me...a parte che mi ha rotto il vetro della macchina!

Quale è stato il tuo primo strumento?

un corno Amborg

Prediligi una marca di strumento? 

ovviamente il Paxman. ma ce ne sono tanti per fortuna. Potrei suonarne molti e trovare piacere nel farlo. Pensa che bello il suono del corno viennese!

Usi Corni Tripli e Descant? O solo corno doppio?

Solo m20 Paxman.

Quale compositore prediligi?

Mi sento a casa mia con Mahler, ma tutto il repertorio romantico tedesco mi da soddisfazione. Diciamo che nonostante le mie origini mi trovo meglio a suonare Brahms piuttosto che Donizetti.

Quale brano ha segnato la tua carriera o uno dei tuoi soli preferiti?

Il solo dell’Uccello di Fuoco è il mio preferito. Dopo un’infinito diminuendo dell’orchestra si parte.

Quando ormai tutto è perduto, l’uccello della speranza di un mondo migliore si perde in lontananza e un piccolo uomo con il corno in mano richiama l’attenzione e ridona speranza al mondo. E' grazie a noi che si intravede in lontananza un piccolo luminoso e colorato uccello che porta speranza e che ci travolge di felicita’ nel finale strepitoso e gioioso.

At what age did you start? And how was the passion for the horn born?

At 7 years music and 12 horn with Maestro Giovanni Saccani.

My father gave me a Bujanovsky Lp of Mozart concerts.

Do you come from a family of musicians?

No, my father played the sax in the band but I started with my brothers, especially because I was too lean and small to go to soccer school so I did not agree.

What were the horn players that have influenced your career as a student and as a professional?

Dennis Brain and his dad.

The study method you would advise a young hornist?

Take the horn and let every sound come out.

Look for the color of the sound first and then the rest is just technical. The color of the sound makes you understand the thickness of feelings you have in your heart.

How important is warm-up and daily technique?

Study 10 hours a day as long as you're in time! When you have family you will not be granted this.

 study often outdoors, in the mountains or in the infinity of the sea or at midnight under the snow.

You're an artist, you need inspiration even when you study the technique.

Try to understand the concept of infinity through the tangibility of the sound, but above all do not run away from your weak sides. We all have specific qualities and we often rely on what is good for us, forgetting the things that remain difficult. If you have good acute notes, study the bass especially ... if you only know play fortissimo stop to play it,  don’t disturbe  your neighbors or colleagues! Especially study the pianissimo.

What would you recommend to improve breathing?

Take air from your belly and not from your mouth, do not lift your shoulders and remember that your lungs are behind because 'we have the heart in our chest.

Do you use accessories to improve breathing?

Lungs!

How important is it to have a good embochure?

The more important it is to be able to modulate the sounds with the diaphragm.

What is the secret to maintaining the quality and fitness right over time?

do not ask me ...

What advice do you give to prepare a good audition?

Do what's written on the side. Study  rhythm, intonation and the right colors. Listen to good-quality historical recordings and copy from time to time if you do not know or have never played the required steps. Be informed before the audition and not during or after it is too late!

Which model of instrument  and which mouthpiece?

Sound a Paxman m20 and a Shilke 31.

I played all my career with just one instrument and one mouthpiece. Let's say this is the second instrument I have since , the first I donated it to someone who needed me most ... except that it broke the glass of the car!

What was your first instrument?

an Amborg horn

Do you prefer a horn brand?

obviously the Paxman. but there are so many lucky ones. I could play many and find pleasure in doing so. Think of the sound of the Viennese horn good!

Do you use Triple and Descant Horns? Or just double horn?

Only m20 Paxman.

Which Favorite Composer?

I feel at home with Mahler, but all the German romantic repertoire gives me satisfaction. We say that despite my origins I find myself better to play Brahms rather than Donizetti.

Which solo was important in your career…your favorite?

The Firebird is my favorite. After an infinite diminishing of the orchestra, he leaves.

When everything is lost, the bird of hope for a better world is lost in the distance and a small man with his horn in his hand draws attention and redeems hope in the world. It is thanks to us that we can see in the distance a small bright and colorful bird that brings hope and that overwhelms us with happiness in the breathtaking and joyful ending.
